SqU is dedicated to the recognition and promotion of the squirrel as one of mankind’s gifts from our creator which, by its presence, does enhance our pleasure on earth, satisfies some of our various hungers and typifies the value and importance of qualities worthy of our imitation …such as hard work, tenacity and a sense of humor. 

SqU intends to target and attend the interests of three overlapping segments of every community.

•  The squirrel hunter
•  The coffee shop pontificators
•  Others

SqU was recently born (and still is being born) in a local coffee shop where so many good ideas, like this one, are mentioned, discussed and forgotten…but not this one.

Someone said, “What this world needs is a good squirrels unlimited organization” and the seated sages…to a man…agreed.  Enthusiasm may have varied but the most negative thing anyone could say was, “Why not?”

Recognizing that enthusiasm alone is good enough to birth such and entity, certain of the sagest of those sages knew that a “need” had to exist to really put legs under this squirrelly idea.  Twenty minutes later these preliminary needs had been identified.
 

1. Though everyone in the world has a cap, no one has a SqU cap.
2. Through nearly all windshields have placards begging the masses to “unlimit,” “save,” “free,” “support,” “neuter,” or “hunt” some creature, there appears to still be room for a stylish SqU decal on most of them.
3. Certain of us do not have our own special banquets to attend where we can buy prints that we’ve always wanted at a ridiculously low price…and bid on auctioned items.
4.  Most wallets can accept another membership card by discarding only one picture of a loved one.
5.  “He (she) was also a founding member of Squirrels Unlimited” will look good in anyone’s obituary.

Many more issues exist that SqU will address but these should come from the membership.  Keep in mind this is a “fresh born” organization and your input is vital.
